Allen Farms | Wesport, MA



Debbie Barret farms fifty scenic acres of land in Westport, MA. She grows organic greens, cut herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. Her bright and tasty pea greens have become a regular fixture on the menu at Providence restaurants and have even made an appearance on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”  on the Food Channel! Her organic herbs are available in pots or cut, and will help add flavor and character to any dish.


Barden Family Orchard | North Scituate, RI



Hundreds of RI families know Barden Family Orchard for their great pick-your-own apple and peach trees. Located in North Scituate, the orchard has been in Gil Barden's family since the 1930s. Gil took over the farm in 1985 and began farming full time with his wife Sandie and family in 2005. In addition to their peaches and many varieties of apples, they grow sweet corn, pumpkins, winter squash and other vegetables. In 2009, they started making their own cider. Their apples, squash and cider are available almost all year round.


Big Train Farm | Cranston, RI


Founded in 2008, Big Train Farm serves the Providence area through it's CSA program, Farmers Markets, and Whole-Sale accounts. BT Farms goals are to conserve RI's farmland, woodlands and rural communities and provide the best fresh and naturally-grown produce.

Blue Skys Farm | Cranston, RI 

Christina Dedora runs this 1-acre vegetable and flower farm at Urban Edge Farm in Cranston. After a few years of growing beautiful flowers and offering CSA flower shares, Christina has expanded her operation to include heirloom vegetables, medicinal herbs, and new and interesting varieties of both. Watch for her edible flowers, medicinal and culinary herbs such as nettles and calendula, and other unusual specialties. Though not certified organic, Christina grows all of her vegetables and herbs chemical-free.


Confreda Farms | Hope, RI


Confreda Greenhouses & Farms offers a large selection of high quality vegetables, including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, kale, squash and corn. The 400+-acre farm, with locations in Hope (Western Cranston) and Warwick, RI, has been run by the Confreda family since 1922. They take conservation very seriously, working closely with the USDA on projects such as water conservation, irrigation and soil erosion reduction. They are also a GAP certified grower who participates in food safety initiatives and community enrichment programs. One of the largest vegetable growers in Rhode Island, Confreda Greenhouses & Farms supplies over a dozen schools, wholesalers, stores and restaurants across the state. 

Cook's Valley Farm| Wrentham, MA


Warren Cook farms on land his family has owned in the Blackstone Valley for over three hundred years! Warren took over the family operation in 1977, and today his son Nate joins him and becomes the tenth generation to farm this land in Wrentham, minutes from the Cumberland-Woonsocket line. They grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables on 35 acres using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. Look for their delicious Asian pears, beets, sweet corn, and other wonderful crops this year.


Fairland Farms | North Attleboro, MA


Fairland Farm, LLC and Cape Cod Organic Cranberry, LLC were formed to become stewards of the continuing agricultural history of Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Numerous communities of this culturally important area are impacted by the use of Best Management Practices which Fairland Farm prides itself on. Some of the bogs that have been placed in their care have existed prior to the Civil War. Not only are they mindful to the benefits to the food industry from the growing of cranberries, but we are daily reminded that the surrounding support land, whether it be upland or lowland, is a significant resource for the various plants and animals that exist within our borders.


Farming Turtles | Exeter, RI


Lauri Roberts runs Farming Turtles in Exeter, growing the finest fresh-growing organic microgreens, baby salad, herb greens, mushrooms, sprouts and more. Their crops are grown in rich organic soil, so they are loaded with natural flavor and nutrition. They offer both cut and fresh-growing varieties.

Four Town Farm | Seekonk, MA

               Chris Clegg and his family run this beloved 100 year-old farm, which lies at the intersection of Seekonk, Swansea, Barrington and East Providence (hence 4town). Four Town uses Integrative Pest Management (IPM) techniques, and is well known for their pick-your-own strawberries, corn, and extensive farm stand. They grow a wide variety of vegetables, including multi-colored carrots, green beans, cabbage, winter squash and more.


Freedom Farm | Raynham, MA



Freedom Food Farm, founded in 2012, is an 88-acre farm run by Chuck Currie and located in Raynham, MA. The mission of the farm is to provide healthy, nutritious food to members of the community throughout the socioeconomic spectrum. Our produce, pork, chickens and eggs are grown and raised using organic and biodynamic principles, striving to model natural ecological cycles. 



Fresh Meadows Farm| Carver, MA


Fresh Meadows Farm

 Founded in 1948, Fresh Meadows Farm is a 3 acre farm run by Domingo Fernandes. Fresh Meadows is a third generation cranberry operation. Fresh Meadows Farm's commitment is to provide the highest quality fresh organic cranberries to their customers each season. They take great care in the production, transportation, sorting, and packing to attempt to reach this goal each year and to ensure the full integrity of the organic process.



Maplewood Farm | Portsmouth, RI

Maplewood Farm is a 37-acre farm located in Portsmouth, RI. Maplewood Farm is well known for its wonderful customer service and has been run by the same family for generations. The farm grows a variety of crops, including potatoes, sunflowers and herbs. 


Langwater Farm | North Easton, MA

Langwater Farm produces a diverse mix of high-quality organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. The farm was founded in 2010 by siblings Rory and Kevin O'Dwyer, who spent years farming around MA before starting their own farm. Kevin's wife Kate O'Dwyer also farms, rounding out the family operation. The farm is certified organic and committed to growing food in a way that is healthy for people and the soil.


Pezza Farm | Johnston, RI

Pezza Farm is 40-acre farm in Johnson, RI growing a diverse mix of vegetables and nursery crops. The farm is run by Doreen and Michael Pezza, and their children, Shelley and Craig. Pezza Farm grows many crops for the Farm to School program, including lettuce, cauliflower and more.

Schartner Farms | Exeter, RI

Along Route 2 in Exeter lies a plot of land that has been farmed by the Schartner family since the 1930s. Rich Schartner currently runs the farm, which is still very much a family operation that is passionate about growing food. Schartner grows a huge diversity of fruits, vegetables, flowers, nursery stock, and even grains (check out their rye flour, ground at Kenyon's Grist Mill). They farm using a variety of methods, including Integrated Pest Management (IPM), chemical free, and soon will be offering some certified organic products. Look for their amazing strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and one-of-a-kind carrots. They also offer jams and relishes made from their own produce.



Steere Orchard | Smithfield, RI

Steere Orchard is a 100-acre farm run by Jim Steere in Smithfield. They grow a wide variety of apples, as well as peaches on their 80-year old farm. Their apples can be found at area restaurants, RI schools, their farm stand and more! 

The Kitchen Garden | Sunderland, MA

The Kitchen GardenFounded in 2006, The Kitchen Garden is a 25 acre farm run by Caroline Pam & Tim Wilcox. They grow organic specialty vegetables, with the goal of providing the highest quality, best tasting, and most beautiful produce to their community. They sell at farmers markets in Northampton and Springfield and at the best restaurants and stores in the Pioneer Valley, Boston and NYC. In September they host Chilifest, an annual farm festival celebrating all things spicy, including their farm fresh sriracha.

Ward's Berry Farm | Sharon, MA

Ward's Berry Farm is a 175-acre family run farm in Sharon, MA. They yield a tremendous variety of produce each season, from radishes and rhubarb to brussels sprouts and bok choy. Ward's Berry Farm supplies their fresh produce to many highly-renowned area restaurants, runs a CSA from June until late October, and have a bustling farmstand that is open all year round.



Wishing Stone Farm | Little Compton, RI

Skip Paul runs this well-known organic farm in Little Compton. Skip and his wife, Liz Peckham, started the farm in 1981 on land farmed by Liz's family for over five generations. They offer a wide range of vegetables, melons, peaches, herbs, honey, and eggs, including 28 varieties of lettuce, 12 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, and 9 varieties of eggplant!
